Courtney and Arius’s wedding at Central Community Church was one of those weddings that gave me back that spark of loving photographing weddings again. Towards the end of the year, with fall approaching and the busy season in full swing weddings can seem a bit exhausting and overwhelming. But Courtney and Arius’s wedding at Central Community Church was just so beautiful. Courtney’s attention to detail, beautiful decor, and coordination gave me life.
Courtney and Arius’s wedding featured gold, champagne, desert rose, and soft greens. Which made for a beautiful boho-themed wedding in October. If you know me at all, I LOVE these colors and love anything boho. I loved the dried flowers in her bouquet, down the aisle, and on her beautiful triangle arbor. Everything was cohesive and yet simple.
I loved getting to meet Courtney and Arius’s friends and family. You could just really tell everyone loved them so much and was so happy to see them together. Their wedding party was energized, and helpful, and did everything they could to make sure they had the best day.
The ceremony was in the beautiful chapel at Central Community Church. This chapel features such a beautiful naturally lit space, that you just don’t need much else to decorate it. It is gorgeous. There’s a very pretty garden space right by the chapel and behind the church. Which created a perfect space for us to take portraits since the wind was blowing in a huge storm for the next day.
Their wedding was followed by a reception in Madison park in Derby. I absolutely loved this location, because we were able to find some more limestone rock to match the limestone from the church, which created such a cohesive look to all of their photos.
Congratulations Courtney and Arius! I just loved capturing your big day!
