Having Jesse in his spot, I walked back to go get Julie for their first look. They were having a small, intimate wedding in Wichita, Kansas at Hyde Park, so I wasn’t too worried about additional spectators. Boy, was I wrong. I had asked them if they wanted their children watching, and they said they wanted it to be just the two of them. So I asked everyone to go wait inside. Julie walked up behind Jesse, he turned around and… Cheers and applause exploded.
I was first confused as to why the people across the street from Central Standard Brewing was cheering and clapping, but then I realized that they had a very good viewpoint of Julie and Jesse’s first look. Everyone burst into laughter.
The rest of their evening was much quieter and sweet. A ceremony with only their closest friends and family. Exchanging rings not only with themselves but their children as well.
